Peter’s denial of Jesus is recorded in all four Gospels. Despite his earlier boldness—“Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you” (Matthew 26:35)—Peter denies Jesus three times during His trial. It’s a moment of fear, shame, and failure.
Peter’s denial is not just a lapse; it’s a full rejection of association with Jesus. Yet, it’s not the end of his story.
What Jesus did for Peter after the resurrection should encourage all believers who are facing or may face persecution and are confronted with the choice to acknowledge or deny their faith in Jesus Christ.
