RECENT ELECTIONS IN THE UNITED STATES
By Aaron Budjen
My Dear Friend,
It has now been a few days after the elections in the United States. I carefully observed what was taking place before the elections, and I have been watching our country carefully since the elections were concluded. Many people worked very hard and spent a massive amount of money trying to have their values represented in our Governments. Some people were pleased with results and others are feeling very distressed. Regardless of who won or who lost there is something very important that I want to bring to your attention.
Understand that the results do show what the people around you really believe. By looking at the number of votes for or against any law or candidate, you can gain an important understanding with regards to the character of the people around you. For example, our President does reflect the character of the majority of the people in our Country. His character, who he is as a person, what he believes and what is important to him, is what over half of the people around you truly value, and they will expend a significant amount of their time and money to see that someone like him is in charge of someone like you. Some of you may be thrilled to know that, and others very depressed. However, the important thing to understand is that he truly represents the majority of the people.
The predominant concern that motivated people to vote the way they did was the economy. However, what very few people understand is that our Governments have very little control over our economies. Since 1913, the United States economy has been governed and controlled by the Federal Reserve Bank. This is our central bank and it is owned by member banks, and are owned by private individuals. The Federal Reserve is no more federal than Federal Express. It is not a government institution. This corporation determines what your mortgage payment is, what your rent payment is, what your car payment is, and whether or not you have a job, through their decisions regarding interest rates. If you think your elected officials have more than a minute fraction of influence with regards to your life or the economy around you, you are totally deceived. If this is what you believe, you are completely ignorant with regards to this subject and are being manipulated like a disposable finger puppet. I am not wanting to say this to make you feel bad. I am only wanting to make it perfectly clear that you might be deceived, and it is your fault if you are. There is more than enough information available to help you understand our economy, and if you don't understand how it works, it is only because you don't want to know. Most people do not want to know. They would prefer to be manipulated by lies that make them feel good.
When it comes to the elected officials in our Governments, there is very little they can do to effect our economies. However, they can still have an effect on it through the laws they make. For example, our current President promised that he would bankrupt the coal companies through increased environmental regulations. Think about that for a moment. Yes, that's right, the Government can take away peoples businesses and jobs by passing laws like this. This will increase the jobs in other energy industries, but this dictation will always lead to greater costs to everyone. A free market will always move to the lowest cost / benefit ratio to maximize an economy. A controlled market through imposed laws will always cause a higher cost / benefit ratio which will cripple an economy. Given this, and many other examples, it can be shown that the best way an elected government official can help their economy is to stay out of the way and not pass laws governing or regulating it. The more intervention a government has in its people's economy, the more they will cripple it. The people are the economy and you as a person will always distill your life to maximize the benefits of your work and minimize the costs to achieve these benefits. Any regulations placed on you will at best slow down your ability to achieve, and at worst place you into slavery.
Still, most people did not vote because of the promises of more or less regulations on businesses. Most people voted for candidates that promised to give them the most. Yes, people voted for others that promised to give them more benefits, more money, more health care, more money in their retirement plans and more services in their communities. Where do you suppose the government gets more benefits to give you, or more health care, or money to bail out failing retirement plans, or more services to give you? Do your elected officials have a box in the back room with all of these things that they just open up and hand out to you? Do they wave a magic wand and it suddenly appears? Of course not. If they are going to give anything to you, they have to take it from someone else. Listen very carefully. If your government gives anything to you, it is only because they took it from someone else. So when any candidate or elected official promises to give you anything, they are promising to take what they can from whoever has it, and give it to those who don't have it. Given the huge promises that were made during the most recent elections, it was as if all the candidates were promising to take everything you have, or can earn, if necessary to give you everything you want, minus a small commission of course. And so most people did not vote because of regulatory laws. Most people voted so that the property of others would be stolen and given to them. Yes, understand that we just witnessed that the majority of the people voted for theft. They did not vote because they wanted a better economy. They voted the way they did because they are thieves, and they voted for someone they think will steal on their behalf. And why would you be surprised? Isn't that a natural expression of a person's flesh? Why would that be so surprising if you consider the lost condition of a natural man? By calling it government benefits instead of legalized theft, does that make you feel better and believe that your not violating the 8th commandment of God? I am calling it what it is. It is theft, by thieves who are violating the Law of God.
Now understand that I sincerely believe Government is necessary and has a very important role to sustain a sound society. What I am saying is that taking from some of its people and giving what they take to other people is not it.
We have a culture of people who are covetous thieves, and that was the predominant motivator of the people around you. They voted on the basis of what the candidates promised to take from their neighbors and give to them.
Consider another concern that many people have, abortion. We now have a President who is the most pro-abortion President that we have ever had in our countries history. Most people do not believe this, but I sincerely believe that abortion is murder. A vote was taken in the State of Colorado with regards to when a person becomes a person, and 3 out of 4 people said that a person is not a person if they are in the womb of their mother. So, it is obvious that I am in the minority when I say that I believe abortion is the murdering of an innocent person, but I am going to say boldly that abortion is murder. I am not wanting to say this out of condemnation, but simply state the clear and fundamental following fact. The majority of the people around you want to be able to kill their children. They want to be able to murder their children for no reason, or any reason they may feel is important to them. They want to be able to do this all the way up to the day before their baby would naturally be born. Listen to me very carefully, the reason why there are so many abortions in our country is not because there is a law that allows them to do it. The reason why abortions take place in our country is because people want to kill their children. That's why. There are many women who have had more than one abortion, but if you consider the possibility that each woman who has had an abortion has only had one, the following is the conclusion you come to. Over 40 million women have committed murder since 1973 in the United States. For those of you who do not believe a woman can sin, I will say it in a clearer way. Over 40 million women have killed their children in this country because they wanted to. No one forced them to do it like happens in other countries. The reason why we have abortion in our country is because women want to kill their children. In addition, there are plenty of men who want to be able to pay someone to kill their children. The majority of the people around you either have or want to have the right to murder their innocent children. That is the country you live in.
Even the nation of Israel has a similar problem. Between 1979 and 2006 over 483,800 innocent children were killed by their mothers, because they wanted to kill them.
Now, again, I am not identifying people as murderers and thieves for the purpose of being condemning. Through the forgiveness of our God we have reconciliation and a new identity in Christ Jesus. I am only telling you the way it is so that there will hopefully be no confusion with regards to the world you live in.
We are surrounded by people who want change, because they know full well that what they have is leaving them unfulfilled, troubled and miserable. We in the United States enjoy more freedoms than any other country in the world. We have more wealth than any other country in the world. We have the freedom to steal from our neighbors through our elected officials and we have the freedom to kill our own children if we think they will hinder our desired lifestyles. We can do virtually anything we want to do with our lives, and we can be virtually anyone we want to be given the freedom to work hard to accomplish such. We have such prosperity that the majority of the people are lazy and over weight. We have all the energy (electricity and gas) we want 24 hours a day. We have all the food we want. We can buy anything we want 24 hours a day. However, people are still dissatisfied. They still want change. Well, they will get the change they seek. They will get more of the same, and we as a nation will destroy ourselves through our own selfishness and sin. Then the people will have nothing, and find themselves homeless on a continent their fathers conquered.
If you want to see change. If you want to see legalized theft and murder come to an end. If you want to see a strong economy where the people have the freedom to work hard and earn any job they want. If you want to see a transformation that brings about a quality of life this world can only fantasize about, there is only one way this change can occur. True positive change will only occur through a person's submission to the God who created this world and by living in dependency on the Lord Jesus Christ. People need a change of heart, and that will only happen through the transforming experience a person can only have with the Lord Jesus. There is no other way. Understand, there is no other way. Any other effort is guaranteed failure. Join with me to reach out to people with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Reach out to people and give them the Lord, because it is only He who will meet their true needs and desires. It is only He who will change their hearts and resurrect them into who He made them to be. You only have a short time left in this world. Use it wisely. Use your resources wisely. When this life is over, and the next one begins, all that will remain is a person's personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. Everything else will evaporate and be a waste. Consider this, and respond with your whole heart. Reach out to your neighbors with the truth of the Gospel.
Most Sincerely,
Aaron Budjen
