A trapeze artist has to commit to letting go of their trapeze and grabbing hold of the other one to make it safely to the other side. Otherwise, they will be stuck in midair, unable to reach the other side or return to where they started. It is the same with Christians when it comes to law and grace. We cannot hold on to the law and simultaneously live under grace without destroying both and living a life of confusion and frustration.
